[In response to Barbara Simpson's article on WorldNetDaily ]
Hello Barbara, I read your article on WorldNetDaily today regarding the "so sorry" phenomenon and I agree with you. My only disagreement comes with your statement that this is somehow "...perfect and illustrative of today's generation". It's not. It's perfect and illustrative of every generation.
Aside from corruption the major disease conservatives suffer from is worshipping an idyllic past that never existed. Marshall McLuhan stated that "We look at the present through a rear-view mirror. We march backwards into the future." a statement that is proven every time I visit WorldnetDaily or turn my AM radio on.
Today's generation did not invent, improve or in any way increase humanity's drive for self preservation. It just seems so because we are living in the present and surrounded by current events while reminiscing about the good ole days; which are either obscured by the dust of decades or overly illuminated with idealism.
As for liberalism's problems, well, it's far too easy to waste time removing your neighbor’s splinters while avoiding the giant redwood forest blocking your own front yard.
I truly enjoyed the article and your attempts at logging Barbara.
Sincerely,
Anonymous
